“Taekwondo has been a joyful part of my life since childhood. In Korea, I was lucky to train under fun and inspiring instructors, which made me love going to the dojang. When I started practicing Poomsae, I enjoyed every moment, and my skills improved naturally through consistent and joyful training.”

Beginning her Taekwondo journey in 2022, Mrs. Hay quickly embraced the art not only as a physical discipline but as a path to mental strength and self-belief. Her philosophy is simple yet powerful:

“I believe Taekwondo is as much mental training as physical—what you think, your mind will follow. I strive to lead with energy, speed, and spirit, and to inspire others to do the same.”
Her rapid rise as a practitioner and national medalist reflects her belief that mindset fuels performance. Now a 2nd Dan Black Belt and 2023 AAU Poomsae Gold Medalist, Mrs. Hay plays a key leadership role at ACE Taekwondo, empowering students to push past limits, grow with confidence, and lead with heart.

Mr. Hoo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Seoul National University, one of Korea’s most respected institutions for sports science and education. He is also a Korea-certified secondary school Physical Education teacher.
His teaching philosophy centers on tailoring instruction to each student’s age, level, and ability. He designs level-specific training methods so beginners build strong fundamentals while advanced students refine technique, strategy, and performance.
Mr. Hoo also focuses on improving overall athletic performance through research-based training in balance, coordination, power, and movement efficiency. His goal is not only to teach techniques, but to help students train smarter, progress safely, and grow long-term.
“Consistency can surpass talent.”
This principle guides both his teaching and his life.
